It has been an awesome first week of December. Work was a little daunting, driving around the icy roads for a couple of days and still getting the hang of documenting in Home Health Physical Therapy. I am still trudging on…
Over the weekend, we went to Spokane to bring a couple hardworking fighters from Contenders for the Dan Vassar Memorial Tournament . Unfortunately and fortunately, they didn’t have anyone to compete in their division – so they won via walk over. We did stay to watch the fights and Tony had to be a judge for the first 12 rounds.
We had dinner Saturday night with the girls and strolled around Spokane on Sunday. It was a busy and happy weekend.
After we dropped off Hunter at her apartment on Sunday afternoon, we passed by the Maverick gas station to fill up the tank and use the restrooms. Then it was a good 2-hour drive back to the Tricities. We were back by 4:30PM and Tony went to go to his meeting at the gym and Sky and I went to Red Robin to pick up a pair of gloves that he accidentaly left last Friday night. And then we went over to Target to get him a sweatshirt… When I was about to pay… My wallet was not there.
I started to panic.
Think. Think. Think… Where the heck did you leave it? I muttered to myself. I didn’t want to explode and have a meltdown – since that I have learned – does not solve a thing.
The only place I can think of was the gas station in Spokane. It took me a couple of tries to get in touch with someone at the Maverick gas station in Cheney… But when I did, they asked for who I was and confirmed that I was the owner of said wallet and would keep it until Hunter picked it up.
I felt a wave of relief after that phone call.
In this day and age it is hard to find kindness from others – specially strangers. Thank you to whoever found my wallet and kept it safe. I am forever grateful. I hope one day I get to pay it back to you.
