Hello Wednesday! What have you all been up to? I hope you’re all doing just as fine, as I am. However, this morning I almost called in to cancel my afternoon patient appointments. My eyes were starting to feel heavy and I felt my throat feeling more sore as the day went on.
But, I trudged on and tried my best to just pace myself with work and at home at the end of the day. So, far – I still don’t feel a hundred percent – but I don’t feel so bad that I need to crash in bed.
With just a few days before Christmas, I know I cannot afford to get sick! I need to be more than 100% during the Holidays, I cannot wait to spend it with family and friends.
Along with the Holidays, winter is officially here. Today, the temperature hovered around 28ºF to 43ºF, which is around -2º to 6º in Celsius. The Sun was shining in the afternoon – but walking to and from the car to a patient’s house was a little harsh.
But, I survived. 🙂
Compared to other parts of United States, the climate here is heavenly. Really nothing to complain about!
We did have a little bit of snow this past couple of days. And our pond is starting to freeze over. Pretty soon, our little fish friends will be hibernating for the winter… Or go to sleep… I honestly don’t know. 😀
And today, I almost got swarmed by a brood of chickens! I stepped out of my car and they just started following me! 😀 They followed me until I reached the door of my patient’s house. It was just a little eerie… Turns out they haven’t been fed yet. So, any humans in their line of sight meant food!
And then today, as much as I felt like just doing nothing at the end of my patient visits. I took the dog out for a walk. I think he was getting a bit of a cabin fever, being home alone all day.
Felony was actually happy with his jacket when we were walking out in the cold. 🙂
