Tony and I were watching one of the recorded episodes of Anthony Bourdain’s Part Unknown, and it was the episode about the one in Okinawa. The presence of the US Marine base in Okinawa has inspired the fusion of the Japanese-Mexican signature dish. It looked fairly simple to make and looked absolutely delicious!
And it is! 🙂
- 1-2lbs of ground beef
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
- Taco seasoning
- Cooked white rice
Sauté ground beef in a medium wok and break down the beef to smaller pieces. Then, season it with your favorite taco seasoning.
Start assembling your taco rice, by starting off a plate of bed of cooked white rice, the cooked ground beef, shredded mexican cheese or any cheese you like, shredded tomatoes and salsa – if you prefer.
I know I like Jalapeños with mine! 🙂
