We went to Seattle over the weekend, mainly for three things:
- Take my Mother-in-law for some rest and recreation.
- Schyler’s Matchday Soccer day camp with the SoundersFC in Centurylink Field.
- Visit our grandson Leo in Kirkland.
We needed a two bedroom hotel suite that is centrally located in between Kirkland and Downtown Seattle. And after almost coming up with nothing, I was able to discover that the Residence Inn in Bellevue Downtown did have a 2 bedroom suite as an offering in one of their guest rooms. We booked straight from their website a couple of weeks ago, since this option was not available in expedia or other booking sites.
Our suite was located in the 4th floor and with a view of the highway. It wasn’t bad at all and there was some traffic noise. But, we can’t complain since we are in the big city after all! As soon as you end your room, the kitchenette is located immediately on your left. This configuration might not be the same for all their 2-bedroom suites, but pretty sure it is all similar. The kitchenette has a full size refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishwasher and complete sets of kitchen cookware and utensils. And a dining table good for 4 people.
It also had a small living room, which is a little tight and narrow. It had a sofa with a pull away bed – where of course, Schyler slept in and a 32 inch LED TV.
The master bedroom with a king sized bed was on the left side of the living room and it had its own bathroom as well. The 2nd bedroom was on the right side of the living room and had a queen sized bed with its own bathroom as well. Both bedrooms had their own TVs and their beds were very comfy. We really should have stayed an extra night, to really enjoy the hotel and it’s amenities.
The Residence Inn have an indoor pool, but no hot tub. The hotel also have a bar and an escape lounge for kids and kids at heart to hang out and have Xbox’s available to use – just get the games from the front desk.
The big plus for this hotel is their breakfast spread! They had assortment of breads, a waffle maker, yogurts, eggs, fruits, hot breakfast sausages, scrambled eggs, scrambled egg whites, fruit and nut toppings… And they had RICE! 😀 Nothing really helps this Filipina get her day going with a helping of steamed white rice in the morning!
If you’re looking for a place to stay for a small family and prefer getting a two-bedroom suite, the Residence Inn in Bellevue Downtown is a great place to stay. It’s pretty close to Downtown Seattle and Centurylink Field and is a short 15 minute drive and Bellevue Square and Lincoln square was just a mile away too. And when we visited our grandson, Leo in Kirkland; it was just a short 10 minute drive to Kirkland too.
The Residence Inn Bellevue/Downtown is located at 605 114th Avenue SE Bellevue Washington 98004 USA.
